Case Study - Boardroom
Boardroom
The photograph shows a 5 -piece barrel shaped boardroom table made in San Domingan Rosewood with a solid American Black Walnut lipping and inlay line to the top. Each top section is set on four traditional fluted legs and a frame base – the legs have rebate design to two sides. The centre pair of legs are joined by a panel for wire management allowing for 8 single cable flaps to the top and 8 pressed steel power boxes housing 1 power and 4 data / voice sockets with provision for a removable microphone point and video socket.
Towards one end of the boardroom it was desired to create a traditional library atmosphere therefore we manufactured and installed library bookcases and cupboard units. These consist of four lower 2 door cupboard units with open upper shelving,
2 door tall storage wardrobes with upper 2 door storage and 2 kneehole positions. Audio visual equipment is housed within the cupboards so grommets for cable routes were also supplied. All units and cupboards are veneered in American Black Walnut with solid sections and lippings.
A coffee table with glass top was made to complement the soft seating area. The design is in the ‘yin-yan’ format so it can be pulled apart to allow two groups of two chairs, or whole for all four chairs.
